 Level 3/4 Online and Freestyle Playgroup





Level 3 & 4 - Skilled on-line - The 22 and the 45 ft. line is challenging on many levels.  Your horse is a long way from you.  Learn to keep connected as you progress to more complex obstacles and higher jumps.
  • Levels 3-4 online patterns - Touch-it with all 4 feet, Figure 8, weave, circles, trailer, push a ball, obstacles 
               Activities we may play with on-line ~
  • extreme friendly game in zones 3-4-5
  • stand on pedestal
  • lead backwards by the tail
  • lead by chin-ear-mane
  • tap to lift feet
  • stick to me
  • drive from zone 5
  • simple change of direction at canter
  • Falling leaf pattern
  • obstacles - hills while maintaining gait
  • sideways towards you slow
  • traveling circles
  • upward/downward transitions on the circle
  • backwards circle
  • online patterns - figure 8 / weave
Level 3 & 4 Freestyle - Skilled - Progress to level 3 & 4 patterns in larger areas on a loose rein and progressively get where you can use two carrot sticks and not use your reins.  Test your balance and harmony with your horse.
  • Level 3 & 4 freestyle patterns - follow the rail, figure 8, weave, million transitions, question box, obstacles, bulls-eye, corners games, sideways box, 180s, clover leaf, bow-tie (prepare for flying changes), flying changes for those who are ready
               Activities we may play with ~
  • passenger lesson at trot and canter
  • bridle and unbridle from your horse's back
  • refined direct and indirect rein
  • lateral flexion with and without reins
  • Hind quarter and Forequarter Yields with out reins
  • transitions: halt-walk-trot-canter
  • selecting leads
  • 20's sideways without a fence, open a gate
  • jumping a small jump

*Equipment needed:  hackamore or snaffle,  carrot stick,
  bareback pad or saddle

*minimum qualification: You must be comfortable walking and trotting your horse.

*Equipment needed:  12' line, (2)- 22' lines or 22' feather
  lines, 45' line, carrot stick

*minimum qualification: official or unofficial level 2 audition

*The minimum qualifications are put in place to assure that you are in the class that would be of the most benefit to you.  This also will help you set goals and be more of a leader for your horse!  You don’t need to have already officially passed with Parelli, just show one of the instructor (Farrah) your audition tape and she will let you know!
