The goal of this class is to introduce a large amount of the tasks in Level 2/3 Freestyle.  You may need more time to practice these tasks to actually make them passable for your Level 2/3 Freestyle Audition (depending on how much you practice outside of class).  Some specific tasks will be played with to a greater extent in other classes, such as trail riding and jumping.

The goal of this Playgroup is to acomplish the following with phase 1 or 2 by the end of this series ( Sept 2011):

  1. Canter with confidence and feel your leads (Level 3)!
  2. You have the basic correct techniques of indirect, direct, and supporting rein (Level 2) with your stick and the neck string (Level 3).
  3. That you know how to use these rein positions to influence your horse's body parts.

*The minimum qualifications are put in place to assure that you are in the class that would be of the most benefit to you.  This also will help you set goals and be more of a leader for your horse!  You don’t need to have already officially passed with Parelli, just show one of the instructor (Farrah) your audition tape and she will let you know!
