2024 Wyoming Horsemanship Classes

Classes are available for all levels and ages from 3 to 150.  Students can bring their own horse or use ours!  We have horses of all sizes and levels from mini's to Friesians.  Students must bring their own helmet if they are beginning riders or are under the age of 18. Classes are held year round with our heated indoor riding facility and our outdoor playground and arena.



Dressage/ Cowboy Dressage

Dressage/ Cowboy dressage will introduce basic through advanced dressage concepts.  From how to ride a round circle and establish a balanced rhythm to flying lead changes and lateral maneuvers.  At the end of this 6 week class you will be able to:

  • Ride a dressage pattern and understand how a test is judged
  • Ask for correct leads
  • Post on the correct diagonals and know why
  • Introduce lateral work such as leg yield, shoulder-in, haunches-in, and half pass
  • Practice the foundation for lead changes and clean up more advanced changes
  • Understand rhythm, tempo, cadence and how to apply these to achieve proper lengthened and collected gaits
  • Basis for piaffe and passage
  • And more!
